Spanish Roofing Slate |

| Produced from the finest quality spanish rock. This
quarry has over 20 years experience in slate production. The slate
it produces comply with the French agreement, the Belgian agreement
and now fully complies to BS 680: Part 2. BS EN |
| La Rosaleda Slate comes from the north west of Spain,
a region called Galicia which produces 80% of Spains slate. The slate
from this region was formed over 500 million years ago during the
ordovician period. |
| This quarry extracts and produces a perfectly flat,
smooth surfaced blue/black slate with some copper based non-ferrous
pyrites. |
| All orders are dispatched in secure wooden crates
to ensure safe transit and delivery to site. Breakages for full crate
shipments will not exceed 3%. |

| Testing |
There are several international standards against
which
natural slate can be tested. |
In the UK, the standard for roofing slate is the
BS 680
Part 2: 1971. This standard requires that slate meets with the accepted
levels of three basic criteria - acid resistance, wetting and drying
cycles and water absorption. |
