Produced from the finest quality slate rock our slates
are
tested, and fully comply to BS 680: Part 2: 1971 Clause 6.2.1, 6.2.2
and 6.2.3. |
All Sovereign roofing slates are evenly graded to
5 - 7mm,
pre-holed and carry a 75 year guarantee. All slates are totally free
from harmful Sulphates and Pyrites. |
| Colour consistency and quality of holing and edges
are also first class, with careful attention being paid to grading
of raw materials, production and packaging. |
| These materials are top quality, sound and unfading.
We have had no adverse reports regarding delaminating or colour change.

| All orders are dispatched in secure wooden shipping
crates to ensure safe transit and delivery to site. Breakages for
full crate shipments will not exceed 3%. |

| Testing |
There are several international standards against
which
natural slate can be tested. |
| In the UK, the standard for roofing slate is the
BS 680 Part 2: 1971. This standard requires that slate meets with
the accepted levels of three basic criteria - acid resistance, wetting
and drying cycles and water absorption. |
